whats that tank near the front bumper on passenger side

i belive there once was a tank behindmy bumper on the passenger side. What is it? whatever it is/was...it is gone now...oops

Vacuum reservoir. If you plug the hose, your HVAC vents and cruise control will probably work most the time again. Under heavy throttle (low vacuum), stuff will probably screw up without another tank.

You can buy a replacement from teamcherokee.com or pull most any vacuum reservoir from any car/truck in a salvage yard, and most of the chains carry some vacuum reservoirs in stock.

Recommend you relocate into the engine compartment.

The original unit on my 1990 was round, about the size of a softball, the replacement I got from teamcherokee was shaped more like a pill capsule.
