Wondering for opinions on things people have already tried. I am making a rear bumper for my XJ, and wondering if it is strong enought to attach it to the spots on the back of the unibody that are stock, for adding a 2" hitch spot for a pull spot, or would it be better just put a 2" hitch to the chasis? I just dont know the strength on the back end for the stock bolts on the back.

You need to tie it back in to the frame rails. there are holes that are used to mount a hitch, use those.
