Front end issue - feels like in 4wd

I drove the wife's 93 XJ today, and noticed there's definitely something wrong with it. Every time I take a turn, the steering wheel shakes and there's some sort of resistance in the front end. It kind of feels like trying to take a turn on dry pavement with it in 4wd. I'm going to take a look at things after work. I was wondering if anyone here could give me some pointers on what to look for. Thanks!

Look at the transfer case linkage. Have someone move it on top while you look on the bottom. If you jack up the front, you can turn the front driveshaft in 2WD.
