Stimulus.............Who Else Forgot?

So the 2008 stimulus was a nice little treat. But what everyone soon realized, was that it wasn't free money. All this was, was an advance on this years return. I knew this at the time, but forgot about it until now. So for anyone else who forgot, take the return you were expecting, and shave off $600 (or $1,200)..........................:gee:

It wasn't supposed to be.

I heard tons of so called experts from the IRS on all kinds of talk shows that "prommised" that this was NOT an advance but a rebate.

There are going to be some seriously pissed off people who didn't know this in about a month when most people start doing their taxes.

BTW, mine was $1800.00

That shouldnt be true... the tax code for 08 was changed so you should have gotten a $600 greater return that they gave you an advace on. why are you finding out diffrent?

IIRC that's not how it worked. Instead of giving EXTRA this year, they advanced it. So from what I understood, this year will be a normal credit instead of the additional $600 or whatever. Not a normal one MINUS $600.

Ah, my numbers must be skewed. I'm making twice what I used to and am getting half as much back as I used to. This is bullcrap.................................

Yep, last year I doubled what I made from the year before and brought home half in taxes...

Pretty crappy since I don't make that much anyways...

So the stimulus shouldn't affect what I get on my return right...

Smell it, taste it, feel it.

And now the next $600 Billion they plan on printing will help fund socialized medicine. Read it for yourself.

Hope there's someone left in Washington with a brain connected to a spine that will oppose this insanity...........or the next Change we will see is more income taxes taken from us to cover the social programs that we are being forced to support.

Little by little, our Freedoms are disappearing........time to take them back, folks.

Realism is a bitter pill to swallow, but it hurts less than the cancer that is eating our Country alive, one nibble at a time.
