Up to 96, it was a press-fit that is held in place at the ends by the same trim pieces the headliner tucks behind. There was a thread only a couple weeks ago about moving the soundbar to a position behind the driver's head, but I don't see that in the "Similar Threads" list below.

it is also held up by the light at the back, and it is a pita to get the light undone so it can come out.

to get the light unplugged you have to pull the light cover and pull the pressure clips off the pins coming off the ceiling... and yes they are a pain.
and the sound bar goes into 97 too, one piece ceiling started in 98 I think.
