Auto XJ Rear Drive Shaft into Manual XJ

Hey folks. Any chance the rear drive shaft out of my 2000 XJ would swap into the rear of a 1997 Manual Trans XJ? Both have the 231.

The output shaft and rear yokes dimensions are the same so each end will physically fit. The only issue might be length. The manuals have longer shafts in general and the length varies with rear as well (the DS for a 8.25 is shorter than D35 for example). So measure or test fit the length.
