YJ Breakline for rear axle possible?

Hi there,

quick question from a fare away Jeeper ...

I have a 2" lift on my 97 XJ, my rear break line (the rubber one going from frame to axle) is slightly to short.
Somebody told ma a YJ break line will work and that it would be longer ...
Do you guys agree?

As it is a bit harder to get parts here in Austria, that would be an easy going for me.

yes it will work, it is three inchs longer. There is a list of brake lines and other JY stuff that will work in a topic calld JY upgrades I think.http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66012&highlight=Junk+Yard

You can also run the rear brake hose from an '80's 1/2 ton Dodge truck. I am, and the hose is like almost 2 feet long ! I runout of down travel and the hose is no-where near strained, and this is being able to drop a 31" tire completely out of the wheel housing, with about a 5" lift.

I too pulled one off of a 98 dodge ram. It's definitely a good 6" longer than the stock one. Direct bolt in too.
