I was searching around and am taking a break from the usual yard work to talk about my new power steering whine. It's a constant wahhh everytime I turn. Just the other day I started her up and briefly got a belt whine also. Hasn't happened recently just after hitting up the mud pit. I just put this belt on and is completely tight. Is it normal to give a little pig squeel after mudding? Hasnt happened lately. Now with the PS I'm pretty sure I have a leak which may have gotten worst because of the whine im hearing. Someone told me it must be low so I filled it up and same thing. It should be safe to drive around right? Or should I try bleeding air out of my PS?

I'm also getting inaccurate gauge readings. My temp and oil pressure are not reading. The temp never hits 210 which was my previous Jeeps running temp. My Oil never fluctuates it just sits at 30. It is an 89 so maybe some new senders in order?
Just bored takin' a break from the sun.:sunshine:

About the oil pressure, you might have a sender for the warning light dash. It's an off/on type switch rather than a differential pressure type. Regardless, I"d change out the switch.

Mine has the start-up chirp also. I've tried new belt, correct adjustment, new idler pulley, and it still chirps. I just ignore it now......
