Transfer Case and Trans

I bought an '85 4wd with the 2.8 v6 and I want to use the drive train to convert my '94 2wd. Please hold the laughter and jibes, what I need to know is, will the trans from the 2.8 bolt to the 4.0 and what model transfer case have I just bought? Got a few more questions about the front axle but that can wait. Thanks in advance for your help.

Nope. You have a Chrysler A904 trans. The 4 liter used the Aisin Warner AW4 trans. I am not sure on their compatability. The transfer case on the 85 is a NP207. The search function is your friend.

ok, I knew the trannys are different, was curious if they would bolt up. Guess not.

Will the NP207 bolt up to the AW?
