4300k

I opted for the lower k for the brighter output in light. They look semi blue, but that's cause it's a cell phone picture, AND they weren't really all that warmed up. They turn a super white after they're warmed up. These are bi-xenon hi/lo.

I'll get some pictures at night though and show the difference.

I have been trying to decide on 4300 vs 5000k. Which high/low kit did you go with? They have two different ones. One has a sliding mechanism and the other has a ghey little extra bulb. If I do it I will use the one with the sliding deal as it should help keep the bulb focused in the proper part of the reflector. Most generic kits light up the whole housing due to improper bulb placement and always have a BAD GLARE. :soapbox:

Nice. Always wanted to do that. Very jealous of all the fancy imports driving down the road. Can't wait to see night pics. I opted for something I can just drop in pretty easily. IPF H4 housings with H4 Fat Boy bulbs.

IPF H4 in on the drivers, Nothing on passenger (CLICKY if ya want)

Nothing on drivers side, Stock on the passenger (CLICKY if ya want)

side by side on street (CLICKY!)

Hopefully you aim 'em right so you don't blind everyone else on the road.

These are the bi-xenon kit HID's. They sell two different kinds as you know, one have two bulbs, and HID bulb and a normal halogen bulb for the high beam. Which is NOT what I wanted. The others, the ones I have, are what they call a bi-xenon which actually has a motor/spring assembly in the bulb assembly. It tilts and retracts the bulb to position it where the normal high beam filiment would be. This is also why I bought these, it's a nice thing to be able to keep the light out of someone's face, and also bright light someone back if they think you're high beaming them :D

Heyyyooooooo

Time for some comparison shots and some night shots :D

keep in mind, we didn't mess with camera settings a bunch, the camera washed out the shot quite a bit, so the highs don't look all that much brighter... but check the next few shots:

Also note, that the camera added quite a bit more dazzle to the lights than there actually is. Oncoming traffic doesn't see NEARLY as much glare as the photo's show.

Here's some video's of the hi/lo operation:

Here's a night time warm up and comparison shot between andy's 65w H4 autopals, and my 35w H4 bi-xenons

notice as they warm up they turn from a slight blue to a pure white.
