Is the carrier on an HP Dana 30 the same as the LP D30? Searched found nothing.

I just need to know if I can use my carrier from my TJ in my XJ doing 4.11 gears in the XJ and the carrier from the TJ would be cheaper (free) since i am going to a full locker in the TJ soon.

what gears did the TJ have?

there is a carrier break, i believe its at 3.55 for the D30....

I regeared the tj with 4.10's with a new carrier in front detroit in back but i want to use that carrier fpr the front of my xj once the locker goes in the front of the tj.

I think the xj has 3.07s. is there any way to find out online by the vin? its too cold out to check it out myself

The HP/LP uses the same carrier(s),but you will still have to deal with the ratio issue!
