Swapped TB, now a sticky throttle??

As the title says....I swapped the TB with one from a parts car, as well as a throttle cable. Now, it seems that the throttle is sticking open.

What should I use to grease the butterfly?? Can I grease the throttle cable?? Does anyone else have any ideas??


89 Renix XJ....230K miles, 4.0/AW4/242/etc....

disconnect the cable and see if it moves free and has no sharp bends or kinks in it.with cable disconnected see if the throttle plate moves freely?it has to be one or the other if it moved freely before you changed them!
