1988 with V-6??

Going to look at an '88. Already badgered the guy with questions. Then noticed the ad says V-6.

I assume the guy just doesn't know right? There were no V-6's in '88 were there?

I've seen used car dealerships advertise every possible year of Cherokee and say that it has a V6.....most just don't know its an I-6 and not a V6....not sure what year the crappy V6 was stopped, but it was only used for a couple of years....

A lot of those salesmen are just sales men, including those in the jeep dealerships, and don't know a Vee from an Inline to a Flatie.

Na man, that shiz laden v-6 was done in 86 with Jeep, 1987 started the I6 for the XJ line....your good to go as far as the I6 is.

Yep I havae one now They suck even bored .60 over with a cam and rollers in it! POS. But with the Edelbrock intake and the EMPI or holly 390 carb and some headers it might be ok. 3.4 head dont hurt either.
