Starting issues on 93 XJ 4.0

Ok. Last week, girlfriend was complaining that the starting operation of the jeep was getting weaker and weaker by the day like the battery was dieing.

So, Monday, it didn't start at all. I picked up a new battery. SAME symptom. If it turned over at all, it was WAY weak. Bang on the starter and it worked.

So, I replaced the starter last night. Last night before I left, it started fine, just like it always should have.

This morning, it's acting like a weak battery again, barely started.

Any clues? I'm down to Ignition switch, start relay or wires.

Anybody shed some light on it for me?

i had similar problem on a friends blazer a few years back. Ended up being the power supply to the starter was coming apart at the ring terminal at the starter from a hack job before hand. Replaced it with a new lead and it worked great. I would check the power supply and ground are both in good shape and snugged down.
