Rear seat is stuck

I put my new bottle jack under the rear seat and closed the seat cushion. It was a tight fit but I didn't force it. Now I can't release the seat. The two pull straps on the side don't do anything? Suggestions? Will a big flat head screwdrive pop the catch mechanism?

since you said that it was tight when you locked it back in place, it sounds like there might be some upward pressure on the seat that is not allowing the locking mechanism to release.....try pushing down or having somebody sit on the seat while you try to release it.

I used a long screwdriver to pry it open. It is still getting stuck without the jack. I guess I'll have to remove the seat and open up the bottom of the seat.
