This has probably been covered here, but a search didn't reveal any answers to this specific question, so here goes: I will hopefully be starting my 44/9" swap soon, and I was wondering if anyone who's done this has used the factory steering on the 44 (from a 76 1/2 ton Ford) and adapted it to the XJ? I'm doing this on as tight a budget as possible, and I know some things just have to be done regardless of how much money you want to spend, but If I can re-use most of the stock 44 steering stuff it would be good. Going into a 90 XJ by the way.

only thing you can use is the tierod.the draglink has to be custom length.atleast thats what i first did when i put the axles under it.i would suggest getting some DOM cut and tapped for everything .then drop some one ton TREs or some hiems
