Rear defrost and Rear running lights?

Well, I did a search and couldn't find anything that came close to my problem. The switch turns on and I can hear the relay click, but it dosn't defrost. So I went to fix my rear defrost today and decided to check my ground on the inside fender. I took off the plastic and the connector was disconected, so I hooked it back up thinking "too easy". I was right. When I turn on the rear defroster now my running lights don't come on. If I disconect the rear defroster plug they come back on. Huh? Back feeding maybe? But from where? Now what?
