Dana 35 questions

Will the same lunchbox style locker work for any Dana 35, even if it's a Non C Clip type or C Clip type. ALSO, how about the shafts? Will the shafts from an '85 Non C, work in a '93 C type 35? Are the splines the same?

my D35 lock-right came with additional parts for install in either axle. as far as the shafts themselves the splines are the same but you cant use a non-c in a C housing. what will hold the axle in place? and the non-C has a bearing pressed on the shaft too. maybe some way to MOD them to fit/work but i see no need to do it when spare shafts are easy to find.

The earlier non C axles I have seen are actually beefier. If the clip slot could be cut and the splines and measurements are the same, you might end up with a stronger axle.
