No Start and I'm clueless.

'99 cherokee sport.
Battery Load tested good
Starter tested good (soleniod, motor, bendix etc.)
All fuses that read ignition/starter/etc. all check good



While the starter is disconnected, I do have power all the time on the starter cable and I do have power on the ignition/solenoid wire( smaller one) in the crank position.

Symptoms;
While the starter is connected,and the key is turned to the crank position, I get one click coming from the starter area and then its dead. What is weird is the dash board lights also go out and when i return the key to the off position and then to the crank position, no click, no dash board lights, completely dead. If I unhook then rehook the battery, the same thing happens all over again. I also tried a new starter relay and get the same results.
Anything that I missing? Thanks in advance.

Clean the battery posts and all ground connections. Hold the key in the start position and then feel for a warm or hot connection on the battery cable.
