jeep wont start please help me

hello all i have a 1996 jeep cherokee classic 4.0 l auto with about 200,000 miles with new fuel pump, starter, alternator ignition switch. took it to the garage today and i told them it just cranks and cranks but no start i can however get it to start if i give it some gas and put it in drive. however though i noticed that when it wouldnt start for me the other day the clock on my radio seemed like it had been discconnected and the radio presets were wiped away as if the battery had been disconnected. please help me

have you tryed spraying some throttlebody cleaner into throttle body have you check for codes have you checked for spark? badge714

hello i forgot to mention that when i was cranking i noticed that the battery voltage gauge was only reading a little over 9.5 when usually at 14. do you think it is time for a new battery. im thinking i have a dead cell in the battery?

Sounds like youare right 9.5 volts is really low that's not enought voltage to create a decent spark, or really work some of the sensors. Qestions holler badge714 [email protected]
