altenator relocaton bracket

I keep killing altenators in mud and muddy water has anyone had this problem? has anyone relocated the alt if so how?

I had the problem. Changing to an external regulator seems to have stopped the problem. I haven't blown another, but I don't play in the wet crap as much as I used to.

If your just playing in mud and not deep water try building an air dam under the moter like the stock rubber one. For a temp fixed I used some of that plastic cardboard (came from behind the rear seat in a car). It worked well enough I never got around to making one out of sheet metal.

You can build a small splash shield for the alternator or install an OEM front skid that will help keep the water off.
I'm still running my rubberized splash shield under the engine to keep the water off.
As far as relocating the alternator, I don't have any experience with that.
