i just got assigned an open ended CAD project for my MECH 130 CAD class at UNL, and am interested in drawing an Orthgraphic of a 1.25" lift shackle (that i hope to eventualy build) and am interested in the specs of a stock shackle.

I need the following to know:
Top width - ??



loooks like 2 5/16 " as far as the the tube that the bsushing goes into
the bushing looks like 2 3/4"




Bottom width - ID is 2.5" +about 1/16" on both sides for bushing clearance so bottom ID is 2 5/8"
Length of stock shackle Eye to Eye - ?

clearances for the top area in the shackle box (if anyone has that) - ?




Bolt size - i should know this, but dont remember.


prolly 1/2" on leaf end looks like 3/8" on "frame side"




Bushing diameter (top end) - does this have a cut out and two different layers?

it has a bshing prseed into a sleeve and the whole sleeve and bhsing is pressed int the tube




any nifty ideas that i should do? Boomerang?


Im gonna use some
1.75 OD tube with 1/8 wall
some poly bushings I had left over form another project
Ill have to turn em down a bit
then I gonna use some 1/4" flat stock bent to the width of the leaf spring
box it all up and drill for a .5 " hole
