grey plastic cover liftgate~~

hey all i have a 96 cherokee classic and the plastic cover on the inside of the liftgate has come loose i think the clips inside broke off and it rattles too much with music or going over bumps i was wondering if there are any fixes for this???? thanks

Mine did this but you may not like my fix. I used screws with washers and she don't make no more noise. Easy to pull for whatever reason now.

That or replace the clips. I did a bit of both on my '90. No problems now!

pull the broken clips.. go to the parts store... match them up... usually the "Help" section has them...

Used drywall anchors where the clips used to be and screwed into them. Works great. Looks like crap...sorta.

That's what I've thought about doing. Several of the slots where the head of the clips go into are broken off. So unless I get a new cover, then I have to use screws.
