Remote Programming

Anybody know what the programming instructions for the two button remote (no panic button) for a 1997 XJ???? TRW part # 56008968 - FCC # GQ43VT10T ??? Owner's manual has no instructions. Clymer is as useless as always. But some sites that sell this remote claim it's "user programable", but only provide instructions to the poor souls that pay their obscene asking price ($60) ..... I got one as a spare but, MUCH cheaper... alas w/o instructions.

Alas, The 1997 remote needs to be programmed in by the dealer (or someone) using one of them there fancy scanning gadgets. They charged me $35.00 apiece when I had mine done.
