Picked up an MJ for my oldest son, he wants to ditch the bed and tube it out

That is a tempoary thing, we will be doing some things to it, right now we are just planning it out for him. Thinkin on a D44 front and a 9" rear, I can pick up a trans and transfercase from my secret wrecking yard fairly cheap. He just needs to start saving up
 
Is that him in the pic? If so, damn, it's gonna be a long build-up period!

only two problems I see
1. its an MJ
2. its got a bed how the he!! you gonna carry groceries in that?
Make sure you insure it as 2wd so insurance is lower.

Naw, thats my youngest one that wants one now, I think he is more excited about it than my oldest one
 
I thought I remember talking to your oldest son out at the calrocs event last sept. and he told me he was looking for a Dakota 5.9 to lower and bling out. :laugh3:

tubing and lifting is much better then lowering and blinging.

apparently you should integrate a grocery cart into the "tubed out" portion.
