Air And Vent?

my 90' xj doesn't blow anything out of the air vents. Not air conditioning, vent or heat. i think the air and heat work, just can't blow out of the vents. does this make sense? there is nothing in the chiltons manual about this, i'm about to take a 13 hour drive in a couple weeks with the girlfriend and she "NEEDS" air conditioning.

If all the air is going out the defroster vents and none out of the panel or floor thats usually a vacumn leak, the flapper in the box under the dash that operates all that stuff is based on vacumn. Start looking for cracked, broken, missing vac hoses. Also check the one that goes under the battery to the vacumn blimp behind the front bumper. Sometime battery splooge drips down on that line and eats it up...

Does the fan work at all? Does it work on high?

nothing blows out at all, even on high. the defroster works and when i turn it on you can hear it, but can't feel it.

first check the fuse for the blower motor.
