AW4 bellhousing question

So long story short the bellhousing on 99 aw4 cracked near the lower starter bolt so starter is not seating properly. I know the bellhousing is replaceable. Is it just as simple as remove trans, remove torque converter, unbolt housing, bolt new one in, reseat tc and put everything back together? Or am I missing something else in there like seals or anything that may be in the way.

90% positive it unbolts as you mentioned... but its been a while since ive worked with an AW4

Torque them to spec, and loctite them on reassembly...

it just unbolts.

pull trans, look inside bellhousing. it's 6 or 7 bolts.

make sure they're not the frontcover/pump bolts.
