Quick ac question

If I jump the low pressure it works... If I jump the single wire out the back of the compressor it works.. Seems like of it bypass anything it works. What's going on here?
 
You'd need to hook up gauges to see if there is a high pressure condition or the switch is faulty. Otherwise you're guessing.
