This is my first post so I am not sure if this is the correct section..
I bought this 1990 with 172k on it for my 250k 1995.
the few things I had questions about were the tcase, trans, and rear.
The TCase: my 1995 has the NPxxx not sure of the number (I have read what it is over a dozen times, cant remember) but it has the 2H/4H/N/4L. The 1990 has 2H/4H/AWD/N/4L. If I install the 1990 tcase will the awd work or am I missing something electrical?
The Trans in the 1990 has a switch on the dash for Sport or comfort.. I don't care about that but will that trans work with my 1995 if I swap it in? will everything else bolt up/plug in and shift correctly. I can only assume that switch just tells the computer to increase line PSI and commands firmer shifts..
The rears: I know nothing about them other than there are 3 types 33, 44, and 8.25. The only thing that I noticed that was different on the rears were the diff covers, one was kinda flater than the other at the bottom, ill get pictures tonight.
and yes I did remove the front DS while I was towing it like that.
