Identify the Tube?

Found a short black tube under my 88 XJ. 1/2in diameter, about 10in long, one end cut at an angle like a vent tube, the other end has a 3in long rubber tube over the end. Will post a pic when i get to a computer.

Any hints where it goes so I can put it back?

Did you find it under the passenger side?
Might be the A/C condensate drain tube.

Yeah really... if you want us to tell you where it goes, tell us where you found it...


Sounds to me like the tube that goes in the center console...
