NP 242 swap

Just picked up a low mileage late model NP242 for free, how hard is it going to be to swap my front input shaft from my early model 242 into it? (current Tcase has 270K on it hence the swap)

also am i going to be able to get my speedo to work?

I'm going the opposit way but I'm pretty sure you wanna keep your speedo sensor and use it on the 242(same)

too bad you are so far away i'd swap you cases LOL
