YJ steering box swap problem

just finished the swap w/ a 4 bolt YJ box and the TNT frame plates.

Everything went great except the steering shaft seems about 3/4 of an inch short. there isn't enough shaft to seat the u joint all the way on the box shaft.

Anyone have any ideas ???????

Advance auto. I actually started this months ago and took the xj box back for a core charge already.

You know the intermediate shaft telescopes right? Both boxes are Saginaw boxes and should have the same rough dimensions. Just pull the shaft out to the length you need. You probably pushed it in when you disconnected it.
