Who does not run the dust shield behind front rotor?

In the midwest they are rusted away often. Just another spot to get tetnis from. I leave them off.

Another here that ditched them successufully
If you are very concerned with the ball joints and u joints being in the same plane, you could cut the backikng plates down to just be hub spacers. However the tolerances are beyond my measuring capabilities, and I have had no issues without them

glue them to the side of a helmet and pretend you have giant ears. that's about all they're good for

The only thing they're good for is trapping small pieces of gravel to put grooves in you rotors.
