Do you have AAA? When I got my jeep it had no keys for the doors and AAA footed the bill.

Apparently the steering column I got from Avery is ether keyed alike or similar as the key starts Julio's jeep just by pulling it out a hair! I was shocked it worked!

gm columns are a joke... my ign key works for AT LEAST 2 of my friends xj's....
its not that theyre keyed alike... its that the tumblers stop springing back, and basically stay in the correct position permanantly...
embarassing... and scary.

Yup, the square ign. and round door keys are a GM thing
AMC= All Makes Combined
AMC= All Makes Combined
It is actually one of the later model key styles. (same door and ignition)

Yea, it does not really matter. Cool thing is Julio is back up and running and it only costed him $2 for a key copy!
I found some spares as well tonight (for the both of you)
