Blower motor stopped

I have a 2000 XJ. The blower has stopped...bad timing since its 108 every day. I checked the wires going into the blower and the blower has power and the ground is good. It seems strange to me that if the blower is broken that it wouldn't blow the fuse or hum. Also the blower stopped and randomly started twice. But now it is dead with power to the blower. the relay, switch, and resister pack seem fine. I just wanted to see what you guys think before i tear out the blower. Oh and I did check the power right where it goes into the motor and it and the ground is good. I guess if the brushes wore out this situation would be explained.

What do you guys think? Tear it out and replace?

me thinks you've already answered the question-- if you've got power to it and the ground is good, the motor has failed.
