So I have a D30 with 4.56's and a aussie on the front. I have the tera flex crossover steering. A few weeks ago I went wheeling and the u-joints started popping all over on me. So last week I pulled the shafts and put new spicers in and everything was great again. Well then a few days later I started getting a weird chatter in the front and sounded like the driver side. Everytime I hit a little bump, rock, anything on the road or if the road is a little rough it just chatters/slightyl clunks. It sounds like something is loose. Like one of the u-joints is loosing and letting the u-joint take the bumper and chatter. I checked all my suspension parts today to see if anything was loose and nothing. Check control arms, drop brackers, tie rod, drag link, trac-bar, shocks, wheelspacers, and everything was tight. What else could it be. could one of the C-clips be in the wrong place and letting the cap bounce in and out or what? IF the bearings were not tight enough would that be the cause? I have no idea and am lost. If I can figure it out here soon the jeeps just going to go get dropped off at Crawlertech.
