transfer case question

My xj is far from stock but me and a buddy are swapping out my TC for a 231 with a SYE all bolts are out but it just wont budge. Its a 93 ax15 with a 231, any help would be so appreciated I'm ready to sell it lol.

You sure you got the two bolts on the top of the tcase? you can't get to them unless you drop the drivetrain way down. Then with a little jiggle in every direction it should slide right off.

What about the bolt on the bottom that you can’t see unless you drop the cross member and tranny mount?

there are a total of 6 nuts

Even with all 6 nuts off, I had the same problem trying to get a 231 off my AX15. I could pry the hell outta the two halfs on the bottom but the top area just wouldnt budge. Turned out the top steel stud was corroded in place inside the aluminum output housing of the tranny. Took some heat and penetrating oil to get if free, then it just popped off.
