Retired at 198K and still "ticking / knocking" strong, Literally! Hope to see it come back as a stroker not to long from now. :salute:

Are you swapping this your self? Wow thats great max  cause i have never done this before. Get as much done while you can cause the news just said another storm is comming through L.A.

I am doing it with the help of some Naxja members! It should go in pretty quick, I am going to spend a few min before the others get here and clean up some wiring.

Then get the new engine ready. I don't see why it wont be running this afternoon.

Oh and I got a blue tarp over the driveway and it works pretty good, It was pissing rain last night and we stayed mostly dry.

Why did you take the front clip and the hood off?

Because the pan would not clear the front clip, and I am redoing all my aftermarket wiring.

As for the hood, we got pissed at the two rear trans bolts and wanted to get better access.

oof.

The hoist I use here is huge and I don't even have to let the air out of the 37s. :D

I always pull the transmission before yanking the engine. Makes those top two E12 bolts super easy with the big impact.

I got a friend with small arms to reach down and get them.

Thanks to JeeperJohn for pointing us into the oil pump timing for it not starting!

Yea we had it sitting on the axle tube on some 4X8 wood blocks.
