Side view mirror question

So I like everyone here have lost several sideview mirrors to trees. What kind of mirrors is everyone using that work better and live longer than the stock mirrors. I have seen the mirrors that fold in and tuck in close and have thought about those but i really want to know who has done what with their mirrors and how it has worked out.

The late model folding mirrors work pretty good. I would have scraped mine off last year if they didn't fold. They seem to hold up to abuse pretty well.

Other then that, you could get those metal framed mirrors like they used to put on pickups for trailer towing. They fold in, but the look like crap.

both my 90 and 91 have had folding mirrors

The 97+ are bolt folding replacements that actually fold both ways. I've been running them for several years and wouldn't go back.
