My pinion bearing went bad in my D30 and is messing up my gear mesh and what not so I need to replace it. Is there anything specail I will need to do to replace it like set a pinion preload? I figured i would take the carrier out, pull the bad bearing off and press the new bearing on. I was assuming I can just use the shims that where in there because imnot changing anything else. So yeah, tips, advice, do I have the right idea?
