I know the d35 rear shaft is about an inch longer than the 8.25 shaft. But is it possible to swap the d35 yoke to the 8.25 since the d35 yoke is shorter?

According to Drivetrain Direct, pinion splines on the D35 are 26. Pinion splines on the 8.25 are 27.
