Dana 44 questions

So I just picked up a HP44 flat top knuckles with lockouts and disks 5x5.5 pattern and the welded on mounts. I have a couple of questions about where to go from here. I have some money alocated for this axle but I also would like to keep the dollars to a min. I'm not afraid to pull and clean parts if its going to work.

1. Will I still be able to use 15inch rims(just bought 35x15s)
2. what is the easiest way to convert this to 6bolt pattern
3. I'm going to be shortening it to waggy width. Where do i find the measurments to cut.

I'm new to the dana 44 and I read through crashes sticky but I need the nuts and bolts info. If there is anywhere to find that please feel free to link.
Also any recomendations would be apreciated. Thanks gents

gordon

When you say 6 bolt, are you referring to the spindle or the lug pattern?

grab chevy stuff from the knuckle out (fsj dana 44 stuff works also)

your best bet would be to see what you can find at the yard, I found some used spindles on ebay for $50 that were sand blasted from the looks of them and came with bearings and spindle nuts. Try this link

I got my calipers and brackets here because I wanted new for those.
