Yes there are many that use the RE radius long arm kit. For the money it is a very nice very strong setup IMO.
Yes there are quite a few people that have fabbed up there own CAs. Some will say just do a 4 link if you are going to do custom CAs, but the radius arms are easier to build most would say. Price wise you are looking about $400-700 in steel and joints plus new CA mounts and possibly a new cross member. There is a lot that goes into fabbing up your own CAs do some home work and search here on
