Base timing for '92 XJ with I-6

Hey guys,

Long story short, just installed a remanufactured ATK long block to replace my busted inline 6 cylinder. I was having difficulties getting the engine to turn over until I finally set timing. All the information I've found indicates timing is not adjustable on the 4.0l so I'm wondering if anybody could do me a favor and tell me what their timing is at idle. My block is idling at ~600 rpm timed at 12 degrees.

Thanks,
Tim

I replaced mine engine with a long block I6(not a stroker, just a re-man one) for about 3 month's ago and followed this link. Works great.

Low Idling may be 3 things:
TPS (trottle position sensor) not reading, check connector
IAC(Idle air control valve) = Clean or replace
CPS(crank position sensor) gone crap = Replace

Rock auto have them all
