Ok, so let me get this straight.

When you have a guy devote several years of his career to Community Organization, it makes him worthy to hold the office of President of the United States………HOWEVER, when communities of tax-paying Citizens get organized and attend town meetings, hosted by their the elected officials and demand honest answers regarding their actions in Washington, they are labeled “angry mobs, activists, right-wing extremists” set on destroying Obama’s Presidency? He's doing a pretty good job of that on his own, based on the latest polls.

http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/dnc_press_release_citizens_criticizing_obama_democrats_at_town_halls_are_ex/

According to the Obama Administration and the DNC, when US Citizens (regardless of political affiliation) demand honest answers regarding where their money is being spent, express how their Will should be done, and they refuse to accept the BS answers provided by the (insert your party here)White House Press Release, these US Citizens are discredited, minimalized and demonized?

Furthermore, any outspoken Citizens demanding accountability from those elected to serve said Citizens are asked by the White House to be told on, as though it's in your best interest to snitch on someone who expresses an opinion contrary to the President? :eyes:

I'm rubbin my eyes here....is this really happening? Did we elect a President (we=those of you who voted for Obama) or a Dictator? http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/Facts-Are-Stubborn-Things/

Did Obama have the First Amendment amended while we were off looking at Auto Welfare (CARS), Cap and Tax, TARP, Stimulus, etc. that dilute or take away our freedoms, or do we still have Freedom of Expression?

Yep, it's happening. Very sad. I watched many interviews of politicians who said the upset citizens at town meetings were nothing but well-orchestrated ambushes by Obama opponents. That's odd since it's coming from people belonging to both major parties. They just know a pant load when they smell it. The politicians are so damn arrogant that they truly believe the citizens don't know what's best for themselves.

Funny, for the last 8 years, people acting like that at political events, were praised. Now since it's directed at their guy and policies, it's "An Angry Mob". These things are orchestrated by liberals and the Dems as a matter of course. The right has historically avoided such public protest.

My guess is that the people of this country are really getting concerned. might be time to re-build the millennium stash.

The honeymoon is over and the Barackocudas are on the prowl. Smell something fishy?

Dictator? That's pretty harsh and very inaccurate. The Dems are just spinning the facts the same way Repubs do. Politics haven't changed any time recently.

Those TEA partying yelling nutjobs are a small minority, and they depend on volume and anger to drown out actual discussion.

They aren't too smart either. Did you see the video where the Congressman asked the group to raise their hands if they oppose government insurance, and most of them did, then he asked who has Medicare, and most of them raised their hands again??

If those people, who don't understand something as basic as Medicare being government insurance, win, in the face of greater public support for public option and reform (check the polls), it will be a failure of democracy, and a victory for the ignorant angry mob.

Dictator? I'm not sure. However, there are too many things that don't add up. I'll just list two that come to mind.

1) When the Honduran President was kicked out, it was because he was trying to remove term limits (Like Hugo Chavez). Instead of letting him become a dictator in a democratic nation, they kicked him out on June 28th. THREE hours later - in the middle of the night, the white house came out and condemned those who tried to follow the mandates of the constitution in Honduras (again - a democratic nation).
It made me really wonder why Obama would do that? Aren't dictators a BAD thing?
The only reason I could come up with was that he (Obama) wanted to become a dictator too.
Perhaps there's another reason...I haven't come up with it yet.

2) The latest news reeks like Nazism. The white house now want you to rat out and turn in your family, your friends, your neighbors, or anyone else who goes against them. Proof (from the white house blog):

"Since we can't keep track of all of them here at the White House, we're asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to [email protected]."

Personally, I'm not an expert on healthcare, but I don't need to be board-certified Proctologist to identify poop when I smell it either.

Not sure what polls you're reading or what teaparty's you've attended to form your opinion. Facts and data may better help support your claims.

"Those people"......please clarify who the are? Perhaps you mean...how dare anyone question Obama and the DNC? Let's nor forget the GOP, because they are all at fault here.

Or perhaps you meant that, anyone who gets angry and raises their voice and questions the government is a nutjob.......like Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Ben Franklin, Thomas Payne, John Adams....I can go on if you like? :dunno:

There's plenty of Google-able (yes, I just made that word up) examples showing elected officials, Republicans and Democrats, avoiding, side-stepping and outright lying when asked simple questions about the proposed HB3200 and other current legislation, which frankly pisses off those who've elected them.

Many outspoken Citizens are registered Democrats who voted for Obama and are feeling deceived.

Tax-paying Citizens are realizing that our Freedoms are rapidly disappearing, not to mention our God-given rights.....and it ain't the Toothfairy who's taking them.

Many people, including those on Medicare, don't understand it. Medicare, like any Government program, is complex and convoluted....and also prone to fraud and exploitation. The Federal Government has no business trying to be a business. Period.

Please share your knowledge and insight as to why HB3200, or a derivative thereof, is good for US Citizens and why we should support it.

"By their fruits, ye shall know them".....and the company they keep.

$34,000: the amount of federal taxes that Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner (D) failed to pay during his employment at the International Monetary Fund despite receiving extra compensation and explanatory brochures that described his tax liabilities.

$75,000: the amount of money that the head of the powerful tax-writing commit tee, Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY), was forced to report on his taxes after the discovery that he had not reported income from an off shore rental property. His excuses for the failure started with blaming his wife, then his accountant and finally the fact that he didn't speak Spanish.

$93,000: the amount of petty cash each Congressional representative voted to give themselves in January 2009 during the height of an economic meltdown..

$133,900: the amount Fannie Mae "invested" in Chris Dodd (D-CT), head of the powerful Senate Banking Committee, presumably to repel oversight of the GSE prior to its meltdown. Said meltdown helped touch off the current economic crisis. In only a few years time, Fannie also "invested" over $105,000 in then-Senator Barack Obama.

$140,000: the amount of back taxes and interest that Cabinet nominee Tom Daschle (D) was forced to cough up after the vetting process revealed significant, unexplained tax liabilities.

$356,000: the approximate amount of income and deductions that Daschle (D) was forced to report on his amended 2005 and 2007 tax returns after being caught cheating on his taxes. This includes $255,256 for the use of a car service, $83,333 in unreported income, and $14,963 in charitable contributions.

$800,000: the amount of "sweetheart" mortgages Senate Banking Chairman Chris Dodd (D-CT) received from Countrywide Financial, the details for which he has refused to release despite months of promises to do so. Countrywide was once the nation's largest mortgage lender and linked to Government-Sponsored Entities like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Their meltdown precipitated the current financial crisis.

$12,000,000: the amount of TARP money provided to community bank OneUnited despite the fact that it did not qualify for funds, and was "under attack from its regulators for allegations of poor lending practices and executive-pay abuses." It turns out that Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), a key contributor to the Fannie Mae meltdown, just happens to be married to one of the bank's ex-directors.

$23,500,000: The upper range of net worth Rep. Allan Mollohan (D-WV) accumulated in four years time according to The Washington Post through earmarks of "tens of millions of dollars to groups associated with his own business partners."

$2,000,000,000: ($2 billion) the approximate amount of money that House Appropriations Chairman David Obey (D-WI) is earmarking related to his two son's lobbying efforts. Craig Obey is "a top lobbyist for the nonprofit group" that would receive a roughly $2 billion component of the "Stimulus" package.

$3,700,000,000: ($3.7 billion) not to be outdone, this is the estimated value of various defense contracts awarded to a company controlled by the husband of Rep. Diane Feinstein (D-CA). Despite an obvious conflict-of-interest as "a member of the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee, Sen. Feinstein voted for appropriations worth billions to her husband's firms ."

$4,190,000,000: ($4.19 billion) the amount of money in the so-called "Stimulus" package devoted to fraudulent voter registration ACORN group under the auspices of "Community Stabilization Activities". ACORN is currently the subject of a RICO suit in Ohio.

I'd just like to know how you are going to pay for it? Please see 'Obamacare' thread.

Let's start with insurance. Do you have employer provided insurance now?

Yes. I pay a percentage of my premium, they pick up the rest. I also have a pre-tax fund that I bank money in to cover stuff like my kids braces, etc. that aren't covered under the plan.

This will ALL go away under Obama's plan.

Poll http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/06/19/opinion/polls/main5098517.shtml

Remember, we also won in the 2006 and 2008 elections. Democracy has to count for something in a... democracy.

I fail to see your point. Who is "we"? Progressives? (BTW, Progressive is PC for Socialist....do your homework)

This isnt' a Dem or Rep thing, our Government has become a Machine. The Will of the People is being ignored, as though we exist to support the Machine, instead of the opposite.

Don't be so narrow-minded. My post was meant as a wakeup call to folks who think we still live in a Democracy......our Government is straying so far from it's origins, we are becoming more Socialist every day. Socialist countries by in large, are controlled by a Dictator....and their people are not FREE!

Obama's core philosophies are based on Socialism, yet "we" still thought it would be a great idea to elect the guy to office? I guess you assumed that none of his core philosophies would effect his performance?

Think about what you really want, this isn't just about healthcare reform.

Would your rather have your God-given rights and Freedoms, as provided by the US Constitution.... or a goverment handout to cover your every want and need, at the expense of your Freedom.

This is what's at stake.
