sockets, wrenches, torx, allen
screw drivers
tin snips/cutter of some sort

consider to have one light weight jack stand in your group

1-2 U bolts for rear leaves
CENTER PINS if running leaves
1 control arm bolt (upper and lower)
trackbar bolts
1-2 leaf bolts
2 shock bolts
Section of heater hose, fuel line, vacuum line
hose clamps
brass union to patch fuel line( i carry brass air hose barbs)
union for heater hose
1 rod end for your rig
fluids - brake, motor oil, trans, power steering and possibly gear oil
axle grease
catch tub for fluids
oil absorbent pads
jumper cables
block of wood
high lift jack
tire grabber for hilift - 1-2 per group depending on group size is good
wider high lift base is optional
locking pliers
needle nose
36mm socket
punch/drift
pry bar
sand paper

Sensors/etc:
CPS
TPS is recommended
o2 is recommended
1-2 injectors
other sensors as you see fit

Brakes:
soft or stainless brake lines for rear calipers and front calipers

Drivetrain/steering:
Driveshaft rear
Driveshaft front is not a bad idea if its custom length
Dana 30- carry axle shafts if not chromo
1 pair of ball joints are reccomended on a 30 and not bad on a 44
dana 30- unit bearing
dana 44/60- 1-2 lockouts, spindle nuts, spindle socket
if stock or ZJ tie rod carry a spare
PITMAN arm reamed for your application
8.25 rear or dana 44 with stock shafts - consider a spare shaft
dana 44 front - consider stubs and maybe inners
High pressure and low pressure PS lines
valve stem
air compressor
tire plug patch kit

recovery:
tow strap
snatch block
tree saver
D rings

MISC:
Extra water
small tarp (free 2.99$ HF tarps are great for wrenching on)

Optional but not a bad idea(most of these could be like 1 per group):
front and/or rear pinion yoke (1 in the overall group should be good )
Grease Gun (1 in the overall group should be good )
dana 44 hub and spindle and bolts (up to your discretion )
steering - heims, TREs
1-2 stub shafts in unit bearings
ARB air line and fittings if applicable
main leaf
steering box (1 per group - up to your discretion)
alternator (1 per group - up to your discretion)
starter (1 per group - up to your discretion)
spare hydro assist lines
cutting tool (angle grinder, sawzall, hacksaw)
spider gears
gloves
caliper pins and bolts
OBD2 scanner

if you have rig specific , rare parts, non universal , that are lightweight and could leave you stranded, consider taking spare

think about things like - if I get separated from the group, what do I absolutely need

coordinate with your group to cut down on weight, one person brings this, one person brings that... not everyone needs every single part above

My jeep wouldn't be able to handle the weight of all that and have room for beer. Priorities!

thats why at the bottom I said:

"coordinate with your group to cut down on weight, one person brings this, one person brings that... not everyone needs every single part above"

also, for easier trails, you can cut back extensively

You can also leave some parts back at camp or in the tow rig as long as someone is willing to shuttle you back for parts or drag your rig out.
