The 1959 "Whitfill Special"

Jerry Whitfill was my supervisor during my stint at All American Racers in the early 90's. He worked for Dan Gurney for over 40 years...

This car was built before I was born. I got to sit in it over 20 years ago.

After sitting for 45 years, it was sold last year for $18k and in just a few weeks was prepped and debuted in it's first race ever at the Goodwood Festival..... 52 years after it was constructed.....

That thing would be an absolute blast to drive.

Very nice old race car. Looks like a death trap though. Give it 20 years and Indy and F1 will put a bubble on there cockpits. That is a really cool looking car. How much haad to be done to it to get it race ready again.
