Stolen white 92 jeep Cherokee!

Any idea how they stole it? ie, did they winch it on a trailer, hotwire it, etc? All these thefts are freaking me out and I'm wondering what I can do to prevent it. Alarm? Steering wheel lock? Kill switch/ Most won't help if they clip the battery and pull it on trailer ...
