SEC Donates & Participates in Uwharrie Workday

Uwharrie, NC - On Saturday, March 19th 2016, SEC President & National BOD Member Tim "UNCC_99XJ" Nolan along with current SEC Member & former SEC BOD Member Glenn "Ghost" Fulmer attended the Uwharrie workday hosted by Friends of Uwharrie. Here, a check in the amount of $600 was presented on behalf of the SEC to Friends of Uwharrie to be used for supplies and tools needed for the workday. After presenting the donation, Tim and Glenn set to work in conjunction with numerous other volunteers from various local Jeep and offroad clubs to spread straw in areas where new growth is being promoted, install guardrail in areas where illegal trails have been made, and lay down rock on portions of trails where erosion has become an issue. Thanks to the donations from clubs like , and old fashioned hard work by volunteers, the trails at Uwharrie will remain open for people to enjoy.
