Overhead console install

I am trying to install a 1997 jeep Cherokee overhead console into my 2000 Cherokee I have the console with the wiring I pulled from a 97 with the mounting bracket. Im needing wiring diagrams color codes for the wires. can I install the console and new harness and remove my 00 harness all the way and just match the wires up and the dash? will this work? need help!! Aip tips and links would be greatly appreciated

Usually if its a stock to stock mod google will do you the ticket:

NOW that the obligatory let me Google that for you is over - get the FSM pages for the 97 and 00 OHC, de-pin the 97 harness and re-use your 2000 harness plugs if you really want to use the harness as is. I personally just ran switched power up the roof and re-used the existing harness. The CCD bus and power are available in the connector for the RKE module, cut the OHC plug off and splice it into the RKE module's plug. I have details of how I did mine here. Mine is not an exact apples to apples conversion, but it should be close enough to get you 99% of the way there.
